"I was one of several owners that followed Admiral Compton to join Inside Track Racing Club at the end of 2004. From the outset we have been impressed not only by the welcome from the club but also from Jim and his staff and from John Hopkins & his family. Admiral has thrived during his time with Jim and his condition and well being are a testimony to the skills and dedication of Jim and his team. Jim is generous with his time both at the stables and at the track. We have complete confidence in his handling of Admiral andlook forward to his efforts being rewarded on the track."

"A friendly, well run stable, always willing to talk and listen to your comments, where your horses welfare is paramount"

"With a great team in the yard and a qualified vet at the helm, it is no wonder that horses with problems have been seen to thrive at South Hatch. I have had horses with a number of trainers but couldn't be happier at South Hatch and I have every confidence in Jim and his staff."
Bob Allan

"I have been delighted with the treatment that both my horse and myself have received at South Hatch Stables. The horse was cheaply bought but has won 3 times and been placed on a number off occasions. He has provided great excitement and enjoyment and being part of a syndicate has meant that it has all been very affordable."
Thomas Halliwell

"Jim took up the license at South Hatch Stables in December 2001. He came at a very precarious time in the business operation. South Hatch had very ambitious plans for development of world class stabling and training facilities, all of which were in great jeopardy due to the heavy losses incurred. At that time there were 12 horses in the yard. Through hard work and a professional approach to managing the existing horses, together with a drive to succeed and attract more owners and a better class of horse, South Hatch has been totally transformed and now has 37 horses. Jim has won with horses that other trainers had written off as being unable to get to the racecourse, let alone win. The staff and Jim have a mutual respect that augurs well for the continued success and expansion of the yard."
